I can't believe that the school year is almost over! It seems like only yesterday that I was getting to know the freshman; now they seem like good friends and the departing seniors feel like close family.
Please read the following spring concert/banquet information closely - there is a lot of information!
On Wednesday, May 22 at 7PM, the Orchestra I and Band I (freshman) will present a public concert. This is a graded performance for members of these ensembles. Students should arrive in concert attire no later than 6:30PM. The concert should last roughly 45 minutes. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the progress the students have made since their last public performance! Following the concert, the Boosters would like to celebrate with a brief reception in the auditorium lobby. Freshman parents/guardians can sign-up here to contribute food or drink items to the reception: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/805044caca72eaa8-9thgrade
On Thursday, May 23 at 5PM, all SCH Band and Orchestra students and family members are invited to attend an end-of-year banquet prior to the Honors concert to recognize everyone's contributions to the success of our instrumental music program. Seniors will be recognized and there were be awards for students in every performing ensemble (including freshman). The South Carroll Instrumental Music Boosters will provide the main course (pulled pork and sandwich rolls) and a cake. We would appreciate contributions of sides, drinks, and additional desserts. Parents/guardians can sign-up here to contribute food or drink items to the banquet: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/805044caca72eaa8-spring
