Fall Instrumental Music Concert
Although the date was given at the beginning of the year, I am writing to remind you of our upcoming Fall Concert. You are cordially invited to attend and see the musical progress the students have made since the beginning of the year. They have been working very hard, both in school and at home, to make this performance a rousing success.
The Instrumental Music Fall Concert will take place on Tuesday, October 24th at 7:00 P.M. in the South Carroll Auditorium. Students should arrive no later than 6:20 P.M. to warm up and get ready for the performance.
Students should arrive in concert attire:
Option 1: Pants, Vest, Shirt, Tie (purchased through SCH). Black dress shoes and black dress socks (provided by student).
Option 2: Dress (purchased through SCH). Skin-tone hose and black dressy closed-toe shoes (provided by students)
Students who are not appropriately dressed will not be allowed to perform. Questions regarding the dress code should be handled well in advance of the first performance. If this dress code presents a hardship, please contact me at your earliest convenience. I’ll help however possible.
Please be considerate of all the young performers who have worked very hard to prepare the music and plan to stay for the entire concert, which should last no more than an hour. In addition to supporting the members of the other performance groups, concert attendance is an educational experience for our young musicians. Your support in this matter is appreciated.
Every student is crucial to our success! If your child is unable to attend the concert, please let me know in writing as soon as possible. If transportation is a problem, please let me know and I will attempt to facilitate alternate arrangements.
As always, thank you for your continued support of your child's music education. We are certain you will enjoy the student’s performance and we look forward to seeing you at the concert. If you have any questions concerning our instrumental music program, please know I am available to discuss them with you.
