Marching Band is a co-curricular activity.  Participation in the marching band requires all musicians to enroll in an instrumental music class during the school day (color guard members do not need to be enrolled in a music class).  All marching band members must commit to being at rehearsals and performances on time and ready to perform.  Unlike a sports team, there is no way to substitute for a band member who does not attend a performance or who has missed instruction from a rehearsal. 

 

Student Commitment:

Schedule and Attendance – I have reviewed the Marching Band schedule and make a commitment to attend all rehearsals and performances per the participation guidelines.

 

Preparation – I make a commitment to come to all rehearsals fully prepared with my instrument/equipment in good working order and all of the necessary items listed on the Marching Band portion of the CavMusic website.
