Mt. Airy Main Street Christmas Performance

Mt. Airy Middle School and South Carroll High School band students will be performing at the Mt. Airy Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 6th.  The performance will be from 6 – 6:30 PM. All brass and woodwind band students are expected to attend.


All brass and woodwind students will be given the music prior to Thanksgiving break. This event does not call for percussion. Percussion students will be involved in some other exciting things later this year.

 

I need to know if you will not be able to participate.  If you have a conflict, please let me know no later than Wednesday, December 3rd.

 

Please read below for important information:

  • Mt. Airy Christmas Tree Lighting SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6th, 2025

  • Downtown Mt. Airy, in front of the Mt. Airy Train Station.

  • Please arrive no later than 5:30 PM.  We encourage everyone to arrive early to secure a parking spot.

  • Park in the municipal lot off Park Avenue.  There are lighted steps from the parking lot to Main St., next to Browning Reagle Insurance.

  • Bring a music stand and clothespins to hold music in the breeze.  If possible, bring a small battery-powered clip-on light.  There will be some professional lighting.

  • South Carroll HS will not be open before or after the event on Saturday, December 6th.  Please be sure to take your instrument and music home on Friday, December 5th and bring it back to school the following Monday.

  • Dress warmly.

  • If possible, leave your instrument case in your car.
